City
Light Books
261 Columbus
Avenue
When Lawrence
Ferlinghetti's City Lights Books opened June 8 1954 , it was the
first paperback bookstore
in the country and Allen Ginsberg's publisher, was at the movement's
center.
This is one of the most famous bookstores in the world and thankfully
it is still as great as ever.
Off beat, true Beat, over the top, very unusual
phamplets and essays abound along with a comprehensive selection
of the best books on all desired topics.
Maybe
you would like to get a new copy of that dog-eared book you used to
clutch by one of the beat writers.
I doubt there is anyone who can walk out of
here without buying a book. I know I never have.
